Bifocal
Safety Glasses will usually have a wraparound type
lenses to better protect your eyes in event of an
accident involving flying objects. There are also styles
available without the wrap around style but with side
guards to protect your eyes, these types will usually
provide less eye strain.
Construction will usually be plastic for light weight
and style with the bifocal lens. Features usually found
are soft plastic or rubber pads on the nose bridge, wrap
around style, polycarbonate lightweight lenses. The
Bifocal Safety Glasses chosen should meet ANSI
Z87.1-2003
Bifocal
Safety Glasses should only be worn during work or when
working on projects needing protection, they should not
be worn for everyday reading as the wrap around nature
of most lenses used will warp your field of vision
resulting in more eye strain.
If you
experience more eye strain because of the curvature of
the wrap around lenses you should purchase a set of
bifocal safety glasses without wrap around lenses and
made to a higher quality standard such as those
available through
Oakley Safety Glasses.
When
you order be sure to specify the the diopter power you
need such as 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0. |
